As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and analysis of timber structures for industrial, logistics, and commercial buildings. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, safety, and compliance of our projects with Canadian and international standards.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive structural calculations for complex timber construction projects, including considerations for statics, fire protection, and building physics.
- Optimize timber structures to deliver cost-effective and efficient solutions.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure the technical feasibility of proposed solutions.
- Ensure adherence to local and international regulations, particularly Canadian building codes.
- Develop certifiable structural calculations and technical documentation in line with requirements from local authorities.
- Coordinate technical interfaces with engineers and technicians on the client’s side.
What we expect
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, specializing in structural analysis and design.
- Experience in timber construction or hybrid timber-steel structures.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as RFEM or similar tools.
- Knowledge of Canadian building codes (a strong advantage).
- Excellent command of English; French is an asset.
- Independent, structured, and results-oriented work style, combined with strong analytical skills.
- Team player with the ability to independently manage complex projects.
